Finally, its all over, many congrat's to Paul Starkey who made a fantastic final run to pip Tommy Carroll for top spot, unlucky Tom, you were on top for many weeks but quality shone through in the end, Yell. Braehead wannabe's kinda fell away toward the latter stages of the comp' and finished up in 14th place, not bad at all but we were so nearly so much better, in saying that we did finish 7000 points behind MCBA, oh well, there's always next season.

Again, congratulations Paul 'Stickle' who finished only 464pts ahead of second placed 'TC's Troops' i'm sure you'll find the perfect use for your winnings lets hope all the money is there (i'm sure it will be), overall Paul did very well also, finishing in 10th place, excellent, and Tommy did fall away slightly but still had a great overall result, finishing in 20th place very well done gents that was a good finish.

A very credible third place finish for Aarons 'Rustier nails' well done mate, you only just pipped me and my 'Dirty Dozen' who finished 1734 pts behind you in 4th, well done us eh? (well me anyway). well done also to Davie 'Trotters Ind' who ended up in 5th place 698 pts ahead of Brians 'Y Sat Naff Log' in 6th nice one guys.

Seventh place is reserved for the 'Hookers' well done Iain, no shame there!!! ( that was a clever wee joke) they had a fine wee battle the final weeks with 8th placed 'Tigers Paw' nice work John, mid table is good. Only 142 pts seperates 9th placed 'Samsstars' and the 'Donkeys' who managed to get their act together and finish in 10th place, well done messers, Weir and Bissett.

Sorry, but we are now entering the bottom half of the final league standings, and only just making top of the bottom (????) are 'Harleys Angels' who finish 11th, unlucky David, you just beat Martins 'Auld Abes etc etc who ended up 112pts behind you in 12th, just as well you've got the Hoolits for that winning feeling Martin.

Somewhat unluckly, but at the same time, it never looked like they would end up anywhere else but 13th are Rab Spence's (squirrell) 'Dream Team'. In 14th and only 85pts behind Mr Spence is Jamie Todd's 'Roasters' who never really looked like they were gonna do any better than that.

'Braehead Allstars'??? aye right!!!! 15th place they finished, make your own mind up!!. Laura, who started with so much promise, ended up a very, very dissappointing 16th place with her 'Loonies' studies are never an excuse.....

A very dissappointing  ( but not unexpected) final three. First of that final three, but 17th, Empos 'Sweet Swingers' who were just not swinging well enough, then in 18th or second last, however you want to put it, are 'The Haggis Bashers', eh, well done Graeme!!!!!   Now, 19th, oor Ronnie and his 'Roosters' whit can i say?? well done sir, its been a pleasure? no, an honour to report your failings and best of all, he did it without even trying, and scored nearly HALF our winners points well done Ron' nice one.

Well done everyone in fact, we gave it our best shot, we won hee haw, but it was fun trying. Again congratulations to our winner, Paul, enjoy your prize and dont be embarrassed about buying a beer for the reporter, i was after all nothing but nice when you were charging up the leaderboard (i think)...

Well done everybody, its been fun but i think most will agree that the majority were losing interest towards the end, thats the reason this is my final report i'm not doing it next time, if there is a next time, if anybody else wants to give it a go, fine go for it, its a laugh but quite time consuming, so thanks for reading, thanks for taking part and thanks for the "early" banter and verbal exchanges.

Well done Paul, commiserations to the rest. Jim, you did a fine job on the reporting and I'm sure after the winter's rest we'll be back ready to play again in the Spring. Know what you mean about the lack of interest though, it's a lot of work for little return sometimes, but that's apathy at it's best for you. You can hold your head high and when anyone complains about something not being covered in your reports or asks why you didn't mention such-and-such you can tell them to just bugger aff!

Well done Braehead Fantasy golfers, I think that's our highest finish yet (OK, it's only been two years [or is it three?], and I've absolutely no idea how high we finished previously, but 14th out of however many hundred is good).

Cheers, until next time!

Just like to say that I found the reporting each week of the FG performance to be quite entertaining - well done that man. Also it must be pointed out that just because thanks aren't always forthcoming, it doesn't mean your efforts aren't appreciated - I know what that feels like from my years as Match Secretary setting up Brucefields !
I do feel it would be a big loss to 'satellite' members like myself, who work away regularly & can't get to the club as often as we like, if this involvement with you all was lost due to apathy next season. Hope that someone picks it up, and many thanks to the guys who stumped up for a Scotsman each week

Nice one Iain, I'm thinking its not just the Fantasy golf but the Braehead website in general that is suffering... its maybe just the time of year!!! I'm sure you're right and it will pick up again. I know guys work away and have "better things" to do of an evening but the odd, smart comment just to let us know you're still out there sparks off a bit of debate and hopefully give everyone a wee
P.S. No worries 'bout buying Scotsman, glad to be of service to our 'out of towners'
