- Magic Two’s: Optional payment, normally £1 per player, to a competition run by the club . Players who hole out in two strokes earn a share of the pot, which is paid out in golf balls. The club operates a jackpot. If any player who has entered the magic two’s, has a hole in one, or three two’s in one round, he wins the jackpot. Payouts depend on the number of balls in the pot at the time. The minimum pay out is set at 25 balls, with the maximum being 50 balls.
If you enter a competition and then find that you cannot play, you must remove your name from the entry sheet. Failure to do so will leave you liable for the entry fee, which must be paid before you play in your next competition. Serial offenders will be invited to attend a disciplinary meeting, which has the power to suspend handicaps.
It is the player’s responsibility to ensure that he knows and understands the rules of competitions he enters.
All club competitions take precedent over casual golf. Members are reminded that club competition matches should be invited to play through groups playing casual golf.
Should it be deemed to be necessary, the handicap committee reserve the right to retrospectively amend any results within 21 days of the competition end.
